Deicide – Art Show by Helen Gorrill 3rd – 28th November

Deicide is a retrospective of four years’ research, investigating feminism and theology. Helen Gorrill will also be showing contemporary drawings that deconstruct the Virgin and female submissiveness, using the female form and biblical text. Gorrill’s visually confrontational works use a striking aesthetic drawing on post-feminist concepts of power and control, and investigating enforcement, reinforcement and reactions to patriarchal society, to display stunning imagery of the female form.
